Since the 2016 election, the political climate in the United States has become noticeably polarizing. Political values have always pushed people to radical ideas, but since the controversial January 6th Insurrection, the topic of an ongoing public investigation, it seems that the country has been more politically divided than ever.

The Grange, also known as the Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, is a community organization which promotes agriculture and agricultural education. Its name comes from an archaic word for a country farmhouse.

They came from as far north as Canada and as far south as Chile. Travelers arrived by plane, car, train, and even bus. In April, during GWUOHS’ spring break, 24 juniors and seniors, along with three staff chaperones, took over Orlando for the week. Students who had only met each other in live class sessions or chatted on Skype were introduced at the airport or the hotel lobby. It took all of five minutes for many to connect and find lots in common.

Dear Netflix CEO Reed Hastings,
Two years ago, a teaser for an upcoming Netflix show popped up on my YouTube recommendations. As a then 13-year-old artist with an appreciation for coming-of-age stories, I was pleased to find an upcoming show called I Am Not Okay With This which centered on mysterious events happening to a teenage girl (played by one of my favorite actresses, Sophia Lillis)seeming to have an indie atmosphere, witty comedic timing, and a fun soundtrack–all great elements in my book. Anne With An E had just been cancelled at this time and I, like many others, was upset to see the rushed ending to a beloved modern take on the classic heroine. So when I Am Not Okay With This was released, I gobbled it up like a cup of strawberry frozen yogurt that hits the spot just right. And…six months later, IANOWT was cancelled, too. Not exactly the cherry on top I was hoping for.

Powerful, dedicated, and persistent are just some of the many adjectives that should be used to describe the diligent women who participated and led in the women’s suffrage movement from “1848 until 1920” (Pruitt). The women’s suffrage movement was an uphill battle that consisted of courage and remarkable acts of survival, along with a brilliant showcasing of perseverance and vigor. From the valiant women who fearlessly fought for what they believed in to the uphill battles they fought to keep going, this is the women’s suffrage movement.
