About the Contributors
Divya S, Editor-in-Chief
Divya is a sophomore at GWUOHS, and this is her third year at the Chronicle. She created and maintains the online news site, and as the editor-in-chief, she works closely with staff reporters to review articles, in addition to writing her own. Aside from the Chronicle, Divya leads the Model United Nations Club and is a member of the Yearbook Club, the Environmental Club, the Performing Arts Club, the World Embassy, the Writing Lab and the Peer Mentor Program. When not writing, Divya can be found singing, studying one of her languages, solving puzzles or immersed in a book. She looks forward to continuing working as a liaison between the news and the school community.
Naima A, Editorial Board Member
Naima A. is an 11th grader at GWUOHS and is proudly working in her second year in the Chronicle as an editorial board member. She is very passionate about reading, writing, photography and traveling. Outside of the Chronicle, she is in the Peer Mentor Program, the Ukraine Youth Action Network (UYAN), and is Club President of the UNICEF Club. Naima is someone who always puts in her best effort when she wishes to accomplish her goals.
Elizabeth N, Journalist
Elizabeth is in 11th grade and currently lives in Tyler, Texas but is originally from the Greater Philadelphia Area. This is her first year at GWUOHS, where she is focusing on studying the humanities, particularly in areas of history and anthropology. As well as this, Elizabeth is a member of the debate, photography, UNICEF, UYAN and performing arts clubs. She has received the College Board National Hispanic Recognition Award and the AP Scholar Award. Elizabeth is currently a member of the East Texas Youth Orchestra’s Jazz Band, where she performs from January until May. Outside of school, Elizabeth enjoys collecting vinyl records, shooting film photography, writing and watching movies.
