From club events to academic deadlines, the monthly newsletter is a quick destination to remember the happenings of the month.

Club and Social News:

  • Regional meetup day is on April 19. In-person meetups are in Herndon, Va. from 10 am to 1:30 pm EDT, Atlanta, Ga. from 12 pm to 2 pm, and New York City from 11 am to 1 pm.
    • A White House Tour will virtually take place at 11 am. 
    • Tea with Taylor Club is hosting a virtual meetup at 2 pm.
  • Fifth annual Student vs. Teacher Debate happening on April 26, hosted by the Debate Club.

Academic News:

  • Fall 2024 course planning is taking place now in Journeys classes. Course selections are due Wednesday, May 3.
  • Science fair preparations are happening currently in honors science classes.
  • All AP courses are ending on April 30.

Bryson T
Bryson T, Editorial Board Member
Bryson is in 8th grade and lives in Humboldt County, Nevada. This is his first year at GWUOHS and the GW Chronicle. He is also the 8th grade class president. Bryson wants to pursue a career in robotics. He has been elected to the Scholar List two times. He is in the Cyber Fundamentals Club, Student Council, and Stem Club. Bryson plays the piano, percussion, snare drum, and ukulele. This is his fourth school. He likes the outdoors, golfing, camping, fishing, swimming, and playing instruments.

Divya S, Editor-in-Chief
Divya is a freshman at GWUOHS, and this is her second year writing for the Chronicle. Focusing on the community news column, she is an active reporter for the newspaper. This year, she is also in charge of maintaining the online news site. Aside from the Chronicle, she leads the Model United Nations Club and is a member of the Yearbook Club, the STEM Club, the Writing Lab, and the Peer Mentor Program. When not writing, Divya can be found singing, studying a language, solving puzzles, or immersed in a book. She looks forward to continuing working as a liaison between the news and the community.
